Our Alpacas
Alpacas are more than just animals to us, more than just livestock; they’re an integral part of our way of life & our businesses. We take pride in maintaining a friendly, healthy & productive herd, which allows us to expand & diversify. However, we are slowly beginning to wind down & reduce numbers to specifically focus on our grey breeding programme. This does not exclude grey animals from being for sale. Just some of what we have to offer:
- Closed herd: We have run a closed herd for the last few years to protect our alpaca’s health.
- Health & Husbandry: All alpacas are sold with a comprehensive Health & Husbandry overview including performance records for fibre, breeding etc as applicable.
- People friendly: All our alpacas are part of ‘Experience Alpaca‘, an immersive alpaca experience allowing visitors to connect with, hand feed & engage with the alpacas who are very used to seeing & engaging with visitors.
- Integrity: Regardless of your purpose for buying alpacas we try to ensure we only offer you alpacas that are best suited to your needs – pets, breeding, walking/trekking &/or fibre.
- Fibre processing Mill: As proud owners of the UK’s only dedicated fibre mill, we transform alpaca fleece into luxurious yarns & textiles & are well-placed to assist you with your fibre journey.
